Victron Smart BatteryProtect 12/24V 220A
Code: VICTRON-SMART-BP-12-24V-220AProduct detailed description
Key Features
- Bluetooth: easy programming
When configuring the Smart BatteryProtect via Bluetooth, you can set the on/off levels as required. Alternatively, you can choose from nine predefined levels using the programming pin. The Bluetooth function can be switched off if required.
- It is important to note that the Smart BatteryProtect is a unidirectional device, meaning that it can only handle current in one direction at a time: either to the load or from the charger. Furthermore, current only flows from the IN terminal to the OUT terminal.
- Automatic 12/24V adjustment
The Smart BatteryProtect automatically detects the system voltage only once.
- Instant reading
VictronConnect can provide important information from the Smart BatteryProtect directly on the Device List page, even without pairing with the product. This includes visual warnings for warnings, alarms and errors, facilitating quick diagnostics without the need for extensive setup.
- Special setting for lithium-ion batteries
In this mode, the BatteryProtect can be controlled by a VE.Bus BMS.
Note: BatteryProtect can also be used as a charging interrupter between the charger and the Li-ion battery.
- Very low current consumption
Important for lithium-ion batteries, especially after low-voltage shutdown.
- Overvoltage protection
To prevent damage to sensitive loads due to overvoltage, the load is disconnected whenever the DC voltage exceeds 16.3 V.
or 32.6 V.
- Ignition-proof
No relays, but MOSFET switches, and therefore no sparks.
- Delayed Alarm Output
The alarm output is triggered if the battery voltage drops below the set disconnect level for more than 12 seconds, except when the engine is started. It is an open collector output that is short-circuit proof to the negative rail with a maximum current of 50 mA. This output typically activates devices such as buzzers, LEDs or relays.
- Delayed Load Disconnection and Delayed Reconnection
The load is disconnected 90 seconds after the alarm is activated. If the battery voltage rises to the reconnect threshold within this window (e.g. after the engine is started), the load remains connected. Reconnection occurs 30 seconds after the battery voltage exceeds the set reconnect threshold.
