On-grid system

An on-grid system, also called a grid-tied system, is a photovoltaic power system that is connected to the conventional electricity distribution grid. This system is designed to generate electricity using solar panels and send this energy back to the public electricity grid. The main objective of the on-grid system is to generate electricity from a renewable source, such as solar panels, and contribute to the electricity grid.

On-grid systems with photovoltaic panels are advantageous in areas where a reliable public electricity grid is available. On sunny days, these systems can produce excess electricity that is sent to the grid and can be used at other times or sold to the electric distribution company. If the solar panels do not produce enough power (for example, at night), electricity can continue to be taken from the grid.

On-grid systems are a popular option for homes and businesses that want to harness solar energy while benefiting from the ability to sell excess electricity generated back to the grid. These systems can also help reduce electricity costs and contribute to a more sustainable energy solution.
