MPP

The abbreviation "MPP" in photovoltaics stands for "Maximum Power Point". This term is used to refer to the point on the power curve of a photovoltaic panel where the maximum possible power is achieved.

The MPP is the point at which the PV panel generates the highest power output under given conditions of incident solar radiation and temperature. It is a key parameter for the efficiency of PV systems as it ensures that the panel is used as efficiently as possible.

To achieve MPP, a device called "MPPT" (Maximum Power Point Tracker) is often used to monitor the panel's operating conditions and continuously adjust it to achieve maximum power. This point varies depending on the intensity of sunlight, temperature and other factors, so it is important to have a mechanism to dynamically monitor and optimize it.
